In the third quarter of 2023 Medimetal Kft. constructed a 150 kW solar power plant at its Eger site as an investment project financed from its own funds. The resulting power plant reduces and stabilises Medimetal Kft’s energy costs in the long run, thereby contributing to predictable and sustainable operation during the coming decades.
The electricity generated by the solar power plant and used in manufacturing will prevent the emission of 67.5 tonnes of CO2 a year.
Increasing the proportion of renewable energy in our consumption is our continuous endeavour. In this context it is an important step forward that by the construction of the solar power plant this aspect of our social responsibility is incorporated in the manufacturing process itself as well.
